Looking for a great vacation spot on the East Coast?  Many people love to visit Virginia.  Virginia has it all (of course I’m probably biased as I live in Virginia), whether you are looking to bring your family some place nice or just spend the weekend or week with your spouse or friend.  Here are some great suggestions on what to see when you visit Virginia.

No matter what kind of vacation you are looking for you can find it in Virginia.  Virginia has it all from great beaches, historical villages, Civil War battlefields, unbelievable theme parks and great cities.  Here are some great places to see.

Virginia Beach is a great beach town to visit.  Not only does it have a great beach, but the boardwalk is miles long and features plenty of entertainment, food and lodging options.  Many people love to spend their summer, tanning on Virginia Beach.  My son and his wife live in Virginia Beach so I visit it often myself.

For historical buffs, you can visit historical towns such as Jamestown, which was our first colony and Colonial Williamsburg, which is a town that has stood since the 1600’s and still functions like a colonial village.  Or how about some Civil War battlefields?  Virginia is loaded with them as Virginia was the campaigning grounds of Gen Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, J.E.B.Stewart and John Singleton Mosby (the Gray Ghost).

There are also plenty of theme parks in Virginia including Busch Gardens which offers plenty of rides, shows and attractions.  Busch Gardens, Virginia is consistently voted as one of the top theme parks in the country.  So if you are looking for a great place to visit for a wonderful vacation, choose Virginia.
